Some thirty or so years ago I managed to cadge a flight up in a powered hang-glider from White Waltham Airfield.As we sat in the aircraft waiting for take off the pilot asked me if I'd been up in one before and I told him I hadn't but the week previously I'd been up in a Pitts Special while the pilot did acrobatics......"You mean aerobatics?" he replied......"I thought you meant he'd got out the cockpit and done somersaults on the wing while you were in  the air!!!"........

When I was at junior School,crossing the road,where we lived at least,was fairly simple and fairly safe as you could here a Car or Bus or Lorry coming along the road long before it ever got to you. Coronavirus...... Apparently some 'experts' initially predicted a million deaths in the UK but that figure has now been lowered with an expert Professor  updating that to some 20,000 and more recently to 5,700.Also he says that two thirds of those who die in the next few months,supposedly of Coronavirus,would have died anyway of something else. Further,it appears that if someone dies under the care of Medical professionals and if said person has Coronavirus at time of Death,then that is being listed as  the cause of death when it may or may not be the case. So time will tell eventually whether the restrictions imposed on people's lives and the economic impact that will go on far longer have been absolutely necessary or whether we've all been living through a real life episode of Spooks......
