They've polished up their Helmets they've truncheons at the ready to stop you buying Easter Eggs and hold the front-line steady But,if someone nicks your Toilet-Rolls while walking from the shop don't hold your breath for any help as I doubt you'll see a Cop......

When the Kids were young and at School it coincided with the late 80s early 90s recession and just as now lots of us were out of work,especially those like me who were self-employed.Obviously we didn't have a Virus to contend with or the kids at home all the time. But we did have to try and survive on the 'peanuts' the law said we needed to live on and that meant cutting costs and consuming less. We did do lots of things together though that didn't always cost money.When the sun shined we'd walk through the lane to the Railway bridge and stop for a little picnic,wave to the Train -Drivers who'd sound their horns and collect Dandelion leaves for the Rabbit.Sometimes we'd drive in our battered Mk 2 Escort to the woods at Marlow,take the back seat out and put under a tree for our snack break,collect fir-cones, throw a frisbee.On one occasion we watched a motor-bike scramble in an adjacent field,all free of charge. I bought a tatty Tent from a garage sale and...

During WW2 Sailors were given a mixture of copper acetate and black dye called "Shark Repellent"....apparently it didn't work and just formed a black cloud such that incoming Sharks couldn't be seen,but because they were told it WAS Shark Repellent they believed it............

Coronavirus...... Apparently some 'experts' initially predicted a million deaths in the UK but that figure has now been lowered with an expert Professor  updating that to some 20,000 and more recently to 5,700.Also he says that two thirds of those who die in the next few months,supposedly of Coronavirus,would have died anyway of something else. Further,it appears that if someone dies under the care of Medical professionals and if said person has Coronavirus at time of Death,then that is being listed as  the cause of death when it may or may not be the case. So time will tell eventually whether the restrictions imposed on people's lives and the economic impact that will go on far longer have been absolutely necessary or whether we've all been living through a real life episode of Spooks......

We managed to buy a Chicken yesterday which is in the fridge looking distinctly "flat".......I said I think it looks like that because it isn't trussed...R thinks it's because it's roadkill.!.......

I had this nasty Dream last night we were out of isolation and there were celebrations in the street and much-overdue elation..... But,we-seemed to-have-lost all track of time how-long,had-this gone on? as the garden now was overgrown and both our cars,had gone!..... And what about the Grand-kids had they started back at School? so I 'phoned for information and felt an utter fool..... As...we'd been indoors a LONG time just sleeping in our bed 'cause,the youngest three had started work and the other three were Wed!......
